Hostel management software
A hostel doesn't sell rooms: it sells beds. In Lokibed each bed is a physical unit with its own number, hanging off a shared-bed room type — the type exists in the model, right next to privates — so the booking board shows who checks in and out of each bunk, and you can block a single bed over a date window, which deducts allotment for those nights and restores it exactly when you lift it. Web check-in and the guest portal speed up the front desk, usually the bottleneck in high season.
Direct sales run through the white-label booking engine with zero commission, and a single reservation can take several beds and several guests with one lead guest, on a consolidated folio. The bar POS closes the order against that folio or against the cash desk. Two things this segment usually asks about first and that we don't have: we don't process payments — no card, no Mercado Pago, no WhatsApp deposit link, no crypto; the deposit is agreed and recorded, and recording it confirms the booking and deducts allotment — and we don't sync with Hostelworld or any OTA.
What it solves for your operation
- Each bed is its own physical unit under a shared-bed room type, plus private units.
- Bed blocking over a date window: deducts allotment for those nights and restores it exactly when lifted.
- One reservation can take several beds and several guests with one lead guest, on a consolidated folio.
- Web check-in and guest portal to relieve the front desk in high season.
- Bar POS with the order closed against the reservation's folio or against the cash desk.
- No payment gateway and no crypto: the deposit is recorded in the PMS, and that confirms the booking.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I sell by bed and not just by room?
- Yes. Each bed is loaded as a physical unit with its own number, under a shared-bed room type, so you assign and block individual bunks and can keep privates in the same hostel. Two clarifications so there are no surprises: there are no gender or mixed dorm rules — that isn't in the system, not even as a field — and allotment is counted per room type and night, not per physical bunk: inventory cannot go negative, but nothing yet prevents two bookings of the same room type from being assigned to the same bed on overlapping dates.
- How does it handle group bookings?
- As a single reservation with several assigned beds and several guests with one lead guest, on a consolidated folio, plus commercial follow-up from the CRM. Let's be exact: there is no dedicated groups module. No group block, no rooming list import, no folio split per passenger, and the deposit isn't charged over WhatsApp: it's recorded in the PMS and that confirms the booking. If your operation lives on large groups with rooming lists, today you'll be doing that by hand.
- Does it integrate with Hostelworld?
- No. Hostelworld is modelled as a channel and the credential is stored encrypted, but the client that talks to its API isn't written: we sync neither rates nor availability with Hostelworld, Booking or Airbnb. What you can do is import those reservations with duplicate control by external reference, and publish on our multi-hotel marketplace. If your occupancy depends on Hostelworld, we are not your system for that today and we'd rather say so on the first call.
